US Homemade Chocolate Bars – A Sweet American Favorite!

🍫 What You’ll Need

For the Cocoa Biscuit

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 340°F (170°C).
  2. Separate egg whites and yolks.
  3. Whisk yolks with milk and oil, then stir in flour and cocoa.
  4. In another bowl, beat egg whites with salt and sugar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold both mixtures together.
  6. Pour into a greased baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes.


For the Cream Layer:

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. Mix mascarpone with sugar until smooth.
  2. Gradually fold in the whipped cream until light and fluffy.
  3. Spread evenly over the cooled cocoa biscuit.


For the Chocolate Topping:

  1. 7 oz (200g) dark or milk chocolate

  2. 3 tbsp coconut oil

  3. 1/4 cup chopped almonds

Instructions:

  1. Melt chocolate with coconut oil.
  2. Stir in chopped almonds.
  3. Pour over the cream layer and spread evenly.
  4. Refrigerate until set, then slice into bars and enjoy!
